Hi Xeno,
In order to play each guild wars campaign, you must purchase each campaign separately. This is to make up for the fact that Guild Wars has no monthly fee. In addition, Eye of the North is an expansion pack so you must have at least one of the other 3 campaigns in order to play Eye of the North. The other 3, Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall are stand-alone games and you do not need anything else to play that particular campaign. To access the missions and maps for each of these campaigns though, you must purchase it. You can download the client from the Guild Wars website so you will have all of the campaigns installed, but you cannot actually play them without an access key. Yes, you can teleport back to places you have been before with just a click of your mouse. Guild Wars is organized into towns and explorable areas. You can teleport between towns very easily. The explorable areas are all the spaces between the towns, and in Guild Wars these areas are all instanced, which means that your party has a copy of it all to itself. You do not meet other players in explorable areas. If you want to play with a friend, you must meet up at a town, form a party, and all go out together. If you wish to have another friend join you when you're in an explorable area, you must go back to a town to pick them up and the explorable area will reset. Hope this answers your questions! |

Welcome to GW -hope you enjoy the game.
I don't speak "textchat" but I think your first question is "If I buy EotN, will I have access to the other chapters?" No. If you buy only EotN, you won't be able to play anything, since EotN is an Expansion (no character creation and characters must be at least level 10). It can be used when linked to any of the three stand-alone capaigns (chapters); Prophecies, factions, or Nightfall. You can link all 4 parts of the game to one account (just add each access key to the original account) To save yourselves some money, you can find all 3 Campaigns sold aas a package deal at various on-line stores. As for game progress - once you've reached a town or outpost, you can travel back to that town or outpost at any time by use of the map travel feature - quick and easy! So you and your friends can meet up anywhere you've both already been. Once you've partied up with your friends, you can map travel from town to town as a group. Also, you can take you characters from campaign to campaign once you've reached one of the port cities - Lion's Arch in Prophecies, Kaineng Center in factions, and Kamadan (after getting to a certian point of the story) in Nightfall. For some good insights as to where to start, check out the stickied thread at the top of the Q & A section titled "For the player on a budget..." Good luck, have fun, and please, try to spell out your words here. |

Well im pretty sure you can buy the different chapters online via the shop from the login screen. That's just as good as buying a CD key..

You can buy keys in the gw online shop, they add the key to your account directly after payment.
Don't buy accounts on ebay or any other second hand website, don't buy them ingame for ingame money or real money, that gets you banned. (don't let this scare you though, Anet people are friendly people) |

Correct, you can't meet other players in explorable areas so there is no PVP there, but however there are no PVP in towns either. In Guild Wars PVP only goes on in the arena's... Ganking free games FTW

Eww don't buy from the online store, that place is the largest rip off. No disc/book (which means longer time to download the game when going to new areas) and more expensive. Amazon.com deal going on now- Guild Wars Triology + EoTN for 48.99 shipped (you MUST add the one from amazon.com, not a reseller).
